The village of Hinterthal sits at a high altitude of 1020 metres surrounded by the Hochkönig and Steinernen Meer mountain ranges in the centre of the Hochkoenig ski region. The Hochkoenig ski region consists of 120 km of inter-connecting skiing with a maximum altitude of 1900 metres.

The village of Hinterthal sits inbetween neighbouring Maria Alm and Dienten.
The village has a very good selection of restaurants, hotels and bars making it a fun après ski scene.

Both winter and summer are very popular in Hinterthal with snow enthusiasts, bikers, hikers and golfers. Hinterthal is also becoming a very special location for wellness retreats.

The picture postcard village of Maria Alm is located only 5 minutes away where there are many restaurants, boutiques and hotels. There is also the championship golf course, outdoor swimming pool and tennis courts in the village.

Hinterthal is ideally located 1 hour from the famous town of Salzburg and the international airport. The town of Saalfelden is also only 15 minutes away where there are big supermarkets and a plethora of shops and restaurants. There is also the Ritzensee lake to enjoy in the summer months.
